Church of San Vito

Lungarno Simonelli
Pisa

It was rebuilt in the same place of the one destroyed by the bombs, which in turn had replaced another church’s oldest and largest demolished in the late eighteenth century, for the resettlement of the Arno River. The present church stands on the site where tradition says he died June 17, 1161 Patron of Pisa, San Ranieri. Inside there is in fact the tombstone, dating to the fourteenth century, a representative of the family will drive, of the same saint.
